Shoreline Breakers

Welcome to Breakers Softball…

The Shoreline Breakers added its first travel softball team to the organization in 2019. With one team and some really cool custom uniforms; the program has quickly become one of the most competitive group of teams in the Northeast. As a Little League and school athletics friendly organization, we encourage our girls to continue playing little league and school sports while participating in travel softball competition.

Offering both league and tournament play, plus winter workouts at our indoor facility in Old Lyme – we are committed to the development of our girls’ softball program, while promoting a family friendly environment, and winning spirit.

Our travel softball teams range from 10u to 18u, with multiple teams in most divisions. When we have multiple teams in a specific age group, we do our best to match players based on birth year, experience and skill level to find the best fit for each player. Players 14 and under, compete in the Central Valley Fastpitch League (CVFL), as well as select tournaments. Players 15 and older are rostered on tournament only teams.

Winter workouts are typically held once a week, beginning around mid-January, and running until the weather allows us outside – usually by April 1st. The spring-summer season begins in April and ends with the CVFL hosting its annual season ending tournament in late July. While certainly not mandatory, most players will resume playing in September and October for fall ball.

Our objective is always; strong fundamental skill development, athleticism, mental toughness, sportsmanship, team spirit and of course – lots of FUN.

Tryouts are held once a year; at the end of July. Acceptance on a roster means that we are committed to that player for the upcoming fall ball season, winter workouts, and the following spring-summer season at a minimum. For players that may have missed the annual tryout… we are always evaluating new players, and open to scheduling a private workout at any time of the year. We prioritize giving every player a chance to play competitive travel softball.

The tuition is set on a team-by-team basis in order to keep the investment as affordable as possible. As a non-profit, we simply take the expenses for a particular team, and divide that by the number of players on the roster. The main differentiating factor being the number of tournaments entered by a particular team. The tuition also includes our highly sought after custom uniforms… two are provided in the spring, with one additional set in the fall.
